Setting Random Spawn Rules for Palworld

info

You will need to start your Palworld instance on the CreeperPanel at least once to generate the necessary directories. If you don't start it at least once, you won't be able to upload your world files correctly, and Palworld will generate a world with default settings.

Whilst Palworld allows you to set random spawns for your pals, you will be unable to set this directly through your server. Instead, you'll need to create a world with the settings you wish on your client machine, then upload the required files. If you already have a world with the desired settings created, you can skip to the Uploading your Random Spawn World section. To get started:

Creating your Random Spawn World

  1. Load up Palworld on your client machine, and click Start Game at the main menu.

Uploading your Random Spawn World

Now the world is created, you'll need to upload it to your server. Open an explorer window, and locate your local Palworld saves. The directory path is C:\Users\YourProfile\AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\, replacing YourProfile with your own account name. Inside this directory, locate the files for the world you wish to upload.

  1. Highlight the files for the world you want to upload. This will include the backup and Players directories. Right click them, then
  2. Select Compress to... from the menu, and
  3. Select .ZIP File to compress your files to a .ZIP archive; the CreeperPanel won't accept unzipped files. The archive name doesn't matter.

Now we need to locate the directory we need to upload the world files to. On the Panel:

  1. Select your Palworld instance, then
  2. Select Files, found under Settings in the sub-menu.
  3. Expand the Pal directory, then
  4. Expand the Saved directory, then
  5. Expand the SaveGames directory, then
  6. Expand the 0 directory, and
  7. Select the alphanumerical directory inside to open it in the Panel. This directory contains the files we need to replace.
